The Macchina della Luce Mod D suspension lamp by Catellani & Smith, imagined by designer Enzo Catellani, is a sculptural light creation that blends craftsmanship and technology.

Composed of several superimposed metal disks treated with metallic foil, this suspended lamp plays with light and surfaces to create a warm, vibrant atmosphere, evoking a luminous constellation or a solar sculpture that radiates into space.

In a spacious interior - a large living room, dining room, entrance hall or double-height ceiling space - the Macchina della Luce Mod D suspension lamp becomes the focal point of the room. The carefully patinated discs reflect and modulate the integrated LED light to create a warm, enveloping ambience. This luminaire, as decorative as it is atmospheric, is particularly well suited to contemporary, designer or high-end interiors.

Macchina della Luce Mod D features a multi-disc LED array, totalling approx. 60 W (10 × 6 W), delivering 2700 K warm white light for a soft, comfortable ambience. The 24 V DC driver is included, and the suspension is dimmable by phase cut-off. The discs have progressive diameters (120 cm, 80 cm, 50 cm, 30 cm and 18 cm), and the suspension height is adjustable via thin cables, allowing you to adapt the luminaire to the height of your space.
